Again, output is higher in the Challenger: 372 to 375 hp based on the transmission compared to 370 hp in the Charger. Moving beyond this point, Dodge offers a series of powerful engines in both, but the highest output is exclusive to the Challenger SRT Super Stock at 807 hp.

The first three trim levels for both vehicles are the same: SXT, GT and R/T. The SXT and GT models are vehicles aimed at the average consumer and even available with all-wheel drive. Starting with the R/T, only real-wheel drive is available, and this trim is intended to be the entry level for drivers who want a V8. After this point, the trim levels diverge a tad, but a lot of the same names are used.
